Only about 5,400 of them live on campus, so the rest are commuting or walking.

clt says this promotes the false stereotype that Charlotte is a commuter school. More than 10,000 students live off campus within walking distance.

Went to Clemson yesterday to view the eclipse. They had us park in their commuter lots, which are quite large.
Why is the Observer calling attention to this? I thought they were a regional paper.
Anyway, I'm sure anybody who travels regularly in that area knows already that traffic picks up at certain times of the day, but thanks to the O for the needless reminder.  If not for their sterling advice, I would have stared directly at the sun yesterday with no eye protection. Stupid article.

There is no need for them to discuss increased traffic in chapel hill.  Considering all their students in fake classes, increased traffic is of little concern there.

As a student who walks onto campus from my apartment it is cheaper to live off campus and walk or take your car than it is to live on campus. I'm at UWALK and saving several hundred dollars a year over living on campus. I'm not shocked at all that only 5000 live on campus, almost expected less with Pine, Elm, Maple and Scott all under renovation.
MAKE THE NINERS GREAT AGAIN!
