Good piece from Matt Norlander on the impact of Hurricane Harvey on Houston college hoops programs. Rice men's coach Scott Pera had to evacuate his home, while the Owls basketball team is seeking to raise $1 million for storm relief.

Also mentions the efforts of Houston coach Kelvin Sampson to collect shoes and shirts from other college programs. Haven't heard if Niners are among the  almost 450 schools who have responded.
