I hope for the best Saturday but I've almost never seen a Lambert coached team step up to the occasion.

Did you watch the USM or Marshall games just last season?
Did you watch the Rice or UTSA game just last season?

Yes, but I wasn't the one who said they had "almost never seen a Lambert coached team step up", so I gave you 2 examples from our last 7 games that showed otherwise.

We play at home Saturday where we have played flatter than three day old cola. When have we stepped up at home?

With that HUGE comeback win over gardner-webb when they were a ranked FCS team?  :o

2013 seems like along time ago

It was. Football seasons are like "dog years" apart.

.  Where in your original post did you mention stepping up "at home"?

I'm a teacher. I always encourage my students to "think about their thinking."

We are discussing the real possibility of losing to an FCS team 5 years into the football experiment, and our coaches seat is about as warm as a Cook out milkshake.

The good news about losing to A&T would be that changes would have to be made.

I'm with you on this. I hate to lose in anything, but if an FCS loss pushes us closer towards change, then so be it.

That being said, I won't hold my breath. I'm sure there will be some excuse, and expectations will be told to be managed. At the end of the day, A&T has had just as long as we have to build the team they are putting on the field against us. Age of program is not an excuse anymore, especially against a team with less scholarship players. We lost a ton of players from a good Senior class? So does every team in the country every year. Speaking of, lets be thankful that Tarik Cohen graduated before we got the chance to play A&T with him.

There are now 5 classes of players on this team who were recruited to play FBS football. The time for excuses is over. The time for "next year" is over.

I'm getting older, and my memory isn't great, but did I miss our game against Ohio this year?

Eastern Michigan.  I guess the writer thought that EMU was really North Ohio.
CHP sold out.  I declare Nick McEntyre our Chancellor-In-Exile!

Jared Kalmus of the Underdog Dynasty blog picks the Niners to win 38-21. Hmm...

LMAO! That's depressing to the point that I really want a cookout milkshake now to drown my sorrows

Their fans seem pretty confident:

I understand we haven't looked good but I expect this to be a close game. Some of their fans have them winning by 20+...

I mean we have played two stout defenses in MAC contender EMU (who just beat Rutgers on the road) and a #18 Kansas state team that could win the Big 12.
