Headline somewhat misleading since writer is making argument for Middle Tennessee and WKU both making NCAA Tournament.

CUSA is currently 14th out of 32 conferences. Big jump from
last year which was around 22 I believe.

If I was in charge of CUSA, I would kick out the last place team for 4 consecutive years and cut the anchors free.

Last in CUSA. How terrible is that.

....or at least compel the last place team to fire their AD.

(1) game behind Rice (who holds a tie breaker over us) and (3) behind FAU. Got to finish ahead of one of them to make the tournament, it's going to be tough.

Actually need to move ahead of UTEP (2-9) and Rice (2-8) at this point.

Remember when we used to look at these because it mattered what the scores were?

Middle Tennesseeís 12 road wins are the most in college basketball this season and also a school record. Kermit Davis is a high-major HC in a mid-major league.

And this from Matt Norlander:
Quote
@Kyle_Boone with your five-minute read recap on what you need to know from Saturday. Check the note on Middle Tennessee. Building toward one of the few mid-major at-large cases.

Finally, kudos to Kermit Davis who won his 400th game as a D-I coach when Middle Tennessee defeated LA Tech last night.

Blue Raiders also #24 in Coaches poll.

BTW, the AP ranking is unprecedented in Murfreesboro.

C-USA related musings from Pat Forde:
Quote
OPEN SEATS

Other openings at present: East Carolina, which has never cared about basketball; Charlotte and UTEP, which used to care but itís been a while.

THE CHARMLESS BUBBLE

Middle Tennessee State should get a berth if it does not win the Conference USA tournament. The Blue Raiders are 12-1 in true road games and 13-4 overall away from home. Thatís a lot of time on the road, and a lot of wins there.
