I joined after a night of chalking the campus for Ron Paul with 49or bust.

My favorite moments here since joining are being threatened to be banned from the board for breaking the news of Jon Lipsitz leaving for Kentucky and being called an Observer apologist.

If I said it's been a fun ride I'd be lying.

Date Registered:  October 31, 2005, 08:52:53 amAparently it was a Monday.  Not sure why I was searching on Halloween morning?  Likely getting pumped just prior to Wither's senior season.
Believe that season had promise with Withers, EJ Drayton, Baldwin, D. Alexander and Marcus Bennett.

LOTS of hours on here since then.  Addiction/Obessession come to mind.  Don't post often but visit/read daily.  Not sure how I still have a job or wife! ;D

I joined on June 12th 2004.
I battled VCU and Va Tech people on the AOL boards with NA in the early 90's before we joined CUSA.  I dislike Memphis to this day because of the AOL boards.
I remember getting propped by Real for something I wrote on the GoCarolinas board and feeling great about that.
I hope to hit 2000 posts in 2015.
Thanks Mac,for all of this.

Date registered - June 6, 2004.  Before that it was the GoCarolina's board.
Met lots of great people through this board and it remains the best way to get all the good (and bad) info related to all things Niner.
My sincerest thanks to Mac for all his hard work and for those that help him out from time to time.
Here's two another decade on NN.N

So much "wasted" (some would say) time on here. It's actually pretty ridiculous when you think about it.

There's some good stuff in that Poole thread.  That Over40NINER poster seemed pretty sharp.

on of NNN's best posts.  From 2007 right before the student vote on football.  Where have you gone Thomas Paine?  A nation turns its lonely eyes to you!

Quote
These are the times that try men's souls.

The summer student and the sunshine alumnus will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their university; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as football should not be highly rated. Chapel Hill, with an army of to enforce her tyranny, has declared that she has a right, not only to underfund, but "to BIND us in a UNC system" and if being bound in that manner, is not slavery, then is there not such a thing as slavery upon earth. Even the expression is impious; for so unlimited a power can belong only to God.

Whether the football study was declared too soon, or delayed too long, I will not now enter into as an argument; my own simple opinion is, that had it been eight years earlier, it would have been much better. We did not make a proper use of the last couple years, neither could we, while we were in the Atlantic 10. However, the fault, if it were one, was all our own; we have none to blame but ourselves. But no great deal is lost yet. All that Judy has been doing for these years past, is rather a ravage than a conquest, which the spirit of the Niners will soon recover.

I have as little superstition in me as any man living, but my secret opinion has ever been, and still is, that God Almighty will not give up a people to live without football, or leave them unsupportedly to perish, who have so earnestly and so repeatedly sought to avoid the calamities of this administration, by every decent method which wisdom could invent. Neither have I so much of the infidel in me, as to suppose that He has relinquished the campus of Charlotte, and given us up to the care of devils; and as I do not, I cannot see on what grounds the Chancellor of UNC Charlotte can look up to heaven for help against us: a common murderer, a highwayman, or a house-breaker, has as good a pretence as he.

June 11th must have been the day mac lifted the velvet rope to let the masses start filtering in. Arcade was cash in those days.

Favorite moment was Shoutboxing with Mike Beasley and his mother and one of our then students telling her that he hopes Beasley hurts his leg after he de-committed.

Certainly one of the best looking/easiest to navigate.  It pains me to visit boneyard banter, etc.

Where would we be without NN.N? Who would we argue with? It's best not to think about it.
