Adios.  Hey Judy, just leave today.  No need to wait until June 30th.

Would love to understand the mentality and decision making process of someone that fires their basketball coach and then a month later announces their retirement....

But thats the negative. Time for the positive.

This is a great step in the right direction.

Fingers crossed a good hire is made.

Whoever they hire they will have my full support.

All tickets and donations will be renewed.

It shows this timing was not her own

Good point.  Yeah Iím guessing Dubois decided to pull the thorn out of his side and gave her a choice.

Smart move, this way the new AD has a clean slate and doesn't have to fire Price, just find a replacement and gets a fresh start.

Can we hire the new AD soon and let Judy transition out?  We certainly cannot wait until after June to hire a new basketball coach.

If we're going to change basketball coaches, it will need to be in March, not in July, but oh well.

Almost certainly this. You don't go off in a newspaper interview saying "I'm going to keep doing things the way I have been doing them" if you know you're annoucing your exit in a month.  IMO this was absolutely CHP deciding to rid himself of this #FireJudyRose annoyance, which is great because it means that the #FireJudyRose movement made all the difference.

I would hope this also demonstrates to our next AD just how much passion our (mostly un-tapped) fan base has, which can be a very useful tool to someone trying to run an Atheletics Department.

A few thoughts:...1) Truest thing Phil said.."Judy has left a legacy that will be impossible to match"...Hopefully THAT IS TRUE...HOPEFULLY IT IS NEVER  MATCHED

2)..Agree,this was not planned when she fired Price...the unrelenting heat ultimately made her position untenable. Thanks to all who, while small in number, were unbelievably vocal and passionate

3)..It worries me that Phil is leading the search committee...A LOT!

4)...This A.D. HIRING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT IN THE HISTORY OF Charlotte

EXACTLY my thoughts :)

Any word on if Philly is on the way out too? I don't trust him with the hire after hearing some of his interviews on wfnz.
Nevertheless, I want to believe 2018 is the year we are going to Win so much we are going to tire of the Winning!

You know this - love and support are two VERY different things.  It's a two-way street.

I'm sad you were told that - not how you treat alums, especially ones like yourself.

Dubois plans to chair the search committee, our diligence is still vital now more than ever

The downfall began the day he came on board. He directed Judy on how to operate the Athletic Dept.  Our return to prominence did not begin today by no means...me MUST put heat on Phil to change HIS mindset on how the Athletic Dept should be run before he hires another puppet.
