we have to STOP sending emails.  We need to call trustees at their place of business (not home).  Speak to them calmly and intelligently armed with the data we all have.  Don't expect to change their mind or argue.  Lets just make thier life a tad more complex which should cascade down.

Brett Keeter office info.  he's an alum.  Its the congressional office of Patrick McHenry. Hickory, NC 828.327.6100.

Mike Wilson. UNCC truestee and alum. vp of a retirement home (919) 354-3680

Teross Young.  Alum and Mayor of Troutman. Email: tyoung@troutmannc.gov Phone: 704-528-7600 Cellphone: 704-807-9778 (ON ATHLETIC COMMITTEE)

fell free to ad more.  I picked 3 people who are actually alumni.

No offense Tim, but I won't be participating here.

Makes us seem like crazy people with no jobs.

The point is to get our point across with reason.  The facts, and freedom of speech is in our favor.  Harassing people at work is a slightly different issue.

With that said, Job's letter was correct.  This mess is getting out of control in a hurry.  The snowball is rolling.

no way.
If you are a trustee of any org, you take phone calls.  I have been a trustee of 2 large orgs.  A 2000 member church and 2000 home HOA.  I appreciated a phone call far more than email.

Good luck to you guys in getting things fixed. I would advise you to take a look at what happened at UAB after the football shutdown. We held meetings and rallys with the students, alumni, and interested fans, and did our best to get on the news. We held a candlelight march on the basketball game, with all involved wearing black, and chanted through the game. Hell, anytime the visiting team went to the foul line we were chanting "Fire Ray Watts" - our not-so-beloved punkinheaded President. The students marched through campus, down the middle of the busiest street in downtown Birmingham, to the admin building and then held rallies in the streets in front for days. We had members of the marching band playing, cheer team members, you name it. Again, media coverage. Call her office and get as many others to as possible. E-mail her and the Ad and whoever else. Write real physical letters. It's easy to blow off a full e-mail inbox, but a big sack of paper mail makes an impression, especially on a non-tech type like her. We raised Cain in the Faculty Senate, and pushed through several votes of no confidence. I don't know how strongly your faculty will be engaged in this, that might be a non-starter. If you can get a few local media types on your side that goes a long way toward increasing coverage and bringing it back up when things get quiet.

Use social media. Start a couple of Facebook groups and use them to add volunteers and to schedule and organize. Get anyone interested to reply to the comments in the local newspaper. Create and spread memes. You have to keep the pressure up and never relent. Make the administration wonder what's going to happen to them today.

You can do this if the campus and alumni are truly outraged and willing to make the commitment. You just have to be willing to make a big damn stink and refuse to relent.

This thread definitely brings up the idea of moving forward.  A UAB fan sent this on the CUSA board, and I think those are healthy next steps.

Dear AD, please read the above  ;D

I think Normmm was probably right all along, we'll be really good next year.
