Odd, I heard yesterday that QJ was ending up at New Mexico State.
Per Verbal Commits, read that Aggies signed JUCO 6-2 G LaMarcus Lee of Copiah-Lincoln CC in Mississippi. Averaged 15.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.5 apg and 1.1 spg as a frosh for C-LCC last season. Louisiana native originally signed with Chattanooga.

Quite a step up, huh ?!
Can play right away, right?
Right, went JUCO to avoid sitting a year (or he didn't have D1 suitors he liked). We'll see where he's at in 1 year.

Some think he was already playing JUCO ball according to this from Matt Norlander:
Quote
Rice has not made the NCAA Tournament since 1970. It is a challenging job but a great school/campus. As one coach put it to me over text: "They have Ivy League admission standards in a JUCO league. MTSU, WKU, UAB, UTEP all can get ANYONE in school. It's an extremely hard job."

Ha,ha. Pretty sure from context Norlander just meant that MTSU, WKU, etc admission standards would allow them to sign players who were JUCO from an academic standpoint, unlike Rice which has "Ivy League admission standards".   I've no clue (nor do I care) about QJ''s academic credentials. by the way.

I actually watched some of the game last night on ESPN3 and happened to see Dozier make his only tackle of the game.  I think he was mainly playing special teams, but was in at LB late in the game, when there were injuries.  After getting a little taste of football, I'm itching for our season to get here.  Maybe the CFL will hold me over another month or so.

I watched it too - but it was on ESPN2 or something (was watching on DirectTV).  Nice tackle, too bad the receiver already had the 1st down.
