Mike Fux is on the phone right now trying to arrange more downtown games for the Holes.

The funny thing is USC will probably have more fans there than the tarholes.

I like that we have gone from 1 game at BB&T to 3 this year.

Any chance this can lead to a high quality tournament at the beginning of future seasons?  Would love to get some high level teams from the north to come down here for a 4-team tournament.

Hopefully these games are successful this year and we could find a sponsor to put on an early season tournament in the next few years.  Being the 1st 2 baseball games uptown in 2016, I think that our 2 home games vs Georgia and NC State will be pretty successful.  I know there was some red at the game last year, but our crowd was very solid.  I think with a little effort, our 2 home games could match last years success.  It will be very interesting to see how the Winthrop folks do with their 'home' game against us there.

I think we could get together with Winthrop and bring in some pretty good teams to play here. Winthrop used to host an early season tournament at their place each year.  Grab a 'local' SEC/ACC team, and a well-known Northeastern team, and I think that would be successful.

Thank you for sharing the beautiful sight, Mr. Bo. See you there in a few. Please don't forget to take good care of my First Baseman, Dylan.
I told him to call 911 . . . because the house is . . . on FIRE.

New infield.

Infield one shade of green. Natural outfield another shade.  The Niner tradition goes on!  ;D

I hated it when Wake Forest put in turf and now we've done it to. I hope our players like rubber pellets and carpet burns. #turfsucks

I'd prefer grass and dirt too, but i think the benefits here outweigh those feelings.  Fewer games lost to rain/snow, and allows more practice time.

Speaking of Wake, dd you see how much money they are investing in their indoor/player development facilities?  $14 million!!  That's SEC baseball money!

he's wanted turf for 20 years.

it sucks but good idea for college ball.  Pros and SEC programs have staff to prep it daily, UNCC not so much.

Almost everyone is back from last year.  Our 1st C-USA recruiting class are now juniors this season.  We add a few key freshman and JUCOs to fill in some weak spots from last year.  I think we'll have a much better team this year.  At a minimum this year, we need to be in the C-USA Tourney (Top 8 ), but I expect us to be in the 5 to 8 range in C-USA. We finished 2 games out of the 8th spot last year.

How many teams does the CUSA usually send to the tourney?

Heard from a pretty good source earlier this week that Dale Jarrett IS planning to fund (atleast a large portion of it) a new indoor baseball practice facility for us. It is in the "planning stages" I was told. I repeat, this is not just a "rumor". I was told this by someone who SHOULD know.
