Huge improvement over the old helmets for sure! I kinda like the duel logo, it's unique.

The structure of this years game seemed to prevent guys from getting into a rythym by putting together extended drives, but still had a great time. Klugh was very accurate, and Bostick looked like he hasn't missed a beat.

Hard for me to tell anything definitive watching a scrimmage like this. I just enjoyed getting out on a great night and seeing MY UNIVERSITY'S FOOTBALL TEAM.

Good heavens that crowd was not good.

It did appear to be a major drop off of attendance from previous years... Do we know could have changed it so much?

The novelty of football is wearing off, and the spring games have never been terribly entertaining. I don't think it's something to worry about. Seems pretty standard for the majority of FBS schools.

Check out these numbers from 2015. http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2015/4/14/8406689/spring-game-attendance-2015

Our announced attendance this year was 8,000+, but was likely half of that.

I'm hoping the 2 logo helmet means that we'll have 2 different helmets during the season.  One with the C-pick only and one with the 49ers only.  But for the sake of the spring game, they put both logos on there.

I think Normmm was probably right all along, we'll be really good next year.

I wouldn't worry too much, we had 10x times the amount Maryland had at their spring game. Middle of April doesn't exactly should "football" to the average fan.

Was great meeting NinerWupAss at the Normbulance yesterday afternoon. Was great to have some football back, but need it to be early September now!
Was hard to take away anything from the Spring Game and in general hard to, but Hasaan had some nice passes and there were a few plays on both offense and defense that impressed me. Obviously a long way to go before training camp even starts.
GO NINERS!
MAKE THE NINERS GREAT AGAIN!

You get what you put into it.

Last year UGA promoted "93k Day" like crazy. They hit the mark.

This year far less production and it was 66k announced and photos look much much less.

Nice to see the C-Pick. Have always thought it would look sharp if they did a white helmet with a metallic green C-Pick

Tuck Fest was at the White Water Center... I'm sure that took several Niners and students away... I was at a wedding in cola so couldn't attend but think my buddy used my tix

I knew a bunch of people at Tuck Fest as well. It definitely took part of the regular crowd that comes to football games.

Is Reid Aubrey seriously considering playing football?

Always fun to have a taste of football!

Klugh looked good, made some good throws/speedy as well. Barden impressed me as well, made some really good 15 yd +throws. I'm confident that if he had to come in the offense wouldn't see too much of a downgrade.

Our RBs looked good as well and the WRs caught everything thrown toward them.

Either our O-line is really good or our D-line is bad, I'm leaning toward our d-line not being good.

Overall fun game, can't wait till football.

A few quick thoughts

-Klugh looked great. He was very sharp and I'm glad we have him at QB for the next two years.

-Its good to have Bostick back. I think him and Klugh are going to do some business next year.

-Attendance was down but don't sweat it. It's still better than comparable programs  but I do hope we pulicize it better next year.

-I do not like the new scoring format. Even for someone as dialed in as I am it was tough to keep up with everything.

-Im concerned about our FG kicking

It was a fun Spring day at The Rich, and I saw enough to give me some hope for next year.

D line is most likely pretty bad.  Lambert brought them up several times.  I didn't watch the game, but Suydam has been out (academic reasons) of spring practice.  Would be a huge loss if he couldn't play.  But, one thing I read about Larry leading up to the draft is that he had a tackle on over 14% of the run plays aginst us - which was the most of any defensive tackle in the draft.  That's great for him - and bad for us next year.

Hopefully teams aren't able to just line up and run against us every down and pick up easy first's like they were our first couple of years.  That's hard to watch.

Oh and I like the helmets. Anything that moves us toward adopting the C-Pick is a positive. It looks clean and sweet on the helmets.
