I don't care if Ivo moves on in the near or intermediate term. We haven't had an assistant hired away since Dalonte Hill over a decade ago.

Another good article about this guy. I really like this hire, especially with the chance that the 6-10 kid with possible NBA talent may come join him in 2018!

https://www.google.com/amp/www.courant.com/sports/basketball/hc-jacobs-column-hartford-serbcoach-11-20161110-column,amp.html

Makes me feel somewhat bad for Hartford, but excited for our future.

That article made it sound like he was ready to build something special with the program he considered family....and he left after 1 year!?

Why do I get the feeling we're signing up for a short term lease on this hot international recruiting pipeline?

Our biggest problem the last decade has been that our staff stays here.

People leaving is what needs to happen through out our AD.   We are not a destination school.  Success here should get you hired away.  Failure here SHOULD get you fired.  We should not have anyone that stays for 20-30 years unless they are an alum.

this. Sucks being a stepping stone school,  but sucks even more when you're a stepping stone school that nobody uses as a stepping stone.

It is a little thing and really doesn't make a difference, but can't somebody use Photoshop to take the Hartford pin off his lapel in the picture we use on our roster of coaches?  Call me, I can.

So we better get every hot Euro prospect or else he's a bust.
CHP sold out.  I declare Nick McEntyre our Chancellor-In-Exile!

He also landed Filip Petrusev in the class of '18 who some have ranked as the 2nd best Euro in that class.

Per Evan Daniels of Scout, Petrusev has decommitted from Hartford and reopened his recruitment.

FWIW, Daniels tweeted Petrusev "will get plenty of high major attention" and Corey Evans of Rivals added "stock should explode".

We have (obvioulsy) a great connection with Simovic. Going to Montverde, he is going to get seen by almost ever big program in America. Competition will be steep.
