Cannot wait!! I think they'll be improved from last year, how much is the question. Will be fun early on though with a ton of home games to take in.

Looking forward to the games at Knights Stadium. I don't know that I'll make it to any on campus since I don't really care much for baseball, but games at Knights stadium are fun.

I thought we played well, especially considering it was our first game.  We had a decently large crowd there too.  The student section was not only full, but it overflowed into the section next to it, which was also pretty full, and so was the section next to it.

Saturday's game starts at 1:00.

Niners made a lot of contact tonight, but were just hitting it to the wrong spots. Casas has a shaky start, but got settled in really nicely. Niners used a ton of pitchers in this one though.
Two W&M homers really hurt the Niners, first one gave the Tribe a 2-1 lead, second one sealed the game in the 9th making it 5-1 Tribe.
Onto the rubber match!

How about those two putouts by Hampton in CF? He looks like he'll be fun to watch. Good speed, too.

I coach for a team that played against him in HS. Kid is one of the fastest I have ever seen. He will be a star for the Niners!

Friday we saw the team we were hoping to have. Yesterday and today looked exactly like last year. Beyond tired of it. If you want to win baseball games, you've got to hit the freaking ball. And no, pop flies to short don't count.

Playing musical chairs with our pitchers doesn't seem to do much either. Pretty poor games both yesterday and today.

1-2 at home vs. William & Mary.. Really impressive. Outscored 19-8 on the weekend.

Hibbs has had a longer rope than anyone not coaching the softball team. Our entire athletic department is just striving to be mediocre.

I said something similar a couple years ago and got a tongue lashing from the baseball apologist on here.

Let's be honest, there's very little actual baseball talk on the board. It pretty much begins and ends with the vendettas that a handful of posters have for one another. Meanwhile, there are some that want to win in basketball, baseball, football, chess, etc.

Hibbs has performed well in the past, so I've supported him. I left the stadium feeling very optimistic on Friday. I left there disgusted today. It's a long season. Let's see if this team figures some things out and improves as we move forward. If the end of the season comes and we're still playing like we did today...well...I Don't think we will be. My goodness, we better not be.
