From the article, it said that the new health and wellness center would have multipurpose courts.  I'm assuming basketball/volleyball capabilities.  If so, with the addition of those and the ones in the renovated Belk gym, is there a chance we could get rid of the track around Halton?  Possibly put in some suites or at least some kind of "luxury" seating options?   Would just like to see a little bit more upgrades in Halton.  The new jumbotron was much needed but we shouldn't stop there.  If we someday get rid of the track and make it a permanent seating type deal, I would like to see a full circular ribbon video board around the bowl too.  Does any one know of any future upgrades?

Snark aside, I like the way you're thinking.

What a generic space. Tragic.

RIP Belk Tower

Belk Plaza Rendering

That quad design sure would make any community college or high school proud.

Apparently the new Health and Wellness Center is going to have an outdoor leisure pool.  More photos in the link.

I could tailgate there! (At least until it turns cold). Maybe the pool is heated!

What is that?!? A pool for ants?!?

Seriously though that's pretty tiny for 30,000+ students... but it's probably only going to be open from May-Aug so maybe not too much to worry about. Hopefully there is a logo on the bottom of the pool. Take a page out of High Point's outdoor leisure pool play book

Those creatures appear to be ghosts, which have no substance. So PLENTY of room in the pool.

We are usually the Charlie Brown of NC state universities...all we get are rocks!  This feels like a huge win.
Hey 49er undergrads, you are bigger than UNC-CH.  Start acting like it!

I could not disagree more.  I thought you were a finance guy sportsman.  The ROI on my college investment has been terrific.

My ROI has been good too, but I also think it depends somewhat on your major and somewhat on how a person applies them self. I have some friends worth millions who do not have a degree and I have some friends in their 50s, 60s, and 70s worth very little who have masters degrees.

Absolutely.  If you want education for educations sake, the value comes from inside you.  Hopefully we all got some of that.  If you want a financial return on the money and time you invested then choose wisely, because some majors give a better return than others.
