ID, Nick has been round and round with the Titleist folks. If you're not gonna carry the entire line of products, they don't want you. The only option is to partner with a golf shop and they're hesitant to do it due to the minimums required.

Alumnus can elaborate further.

Alumnus, HP,

Do Callaway and other golf hat manufacturers have the same policy?  Titleist is nice, but Callaway,  Maxfli, Taylor Made, or any of the other hats with a Niner logo on it would be fine too.  Not wanting to make to much work for you Alum, I was just curious if you had checked with any of the other reps.

Taylor Made Golf Hat (Tennessee)

Callaway Golf Hat (Stanford)

Forget Nike and Titleist!

Nick has done a great job so far finding quality product manufacturers that will work with him and will do so in the future.

I think we should just start a product idea thread for nick.  it's getting ridiculous how many people are suggesting stuff.

p.s. i would love a 59/fifty Charlotte hat.

My name is Don Douglass and I started a new bookstore located directly besides Grays named Miner Books in August . We are selling UNC Charlotte apparel and I have built a web site to sell it through. I have about 10 lines of clothes currently and will be looking to expand this based on customer feedback. We believe we have priced our garments very competitively. Can you please take a look them and provide me some feedback on what you think and what you would like to see offered in the future. Thank you so much for your help.

PS - Students told us we had the best textbook prices and we were even competitive to buying their books on-line.

SOAB--------I swear I used to like Ap State (almost went there instead of Charlotte as well) but I am really getting annoyed by them. You talk about getting the most out of something (not that I can really blame them, but its still annoying seeing all there "gear" when you couldn't EVER see any 3 years ago).....geez

So teaming with a local course would allow them to set up the hats b/c they are a sellar of titleist apparel?

What about Leatherman Golf Learning Center? i have never seen such college golf stuff in one store.

thanks for the unfortunate answer, and attempting to make this happen.

That's correct.  The local course could sell them if they wanted to, they just to place an order.  The trouble started when Titleist found out that they were passing them along to us.  If Leatherman wanted to order a Charlotte hat from Titleist, they could do it.

I like the green mesh shorts with the Niners logo.  But just a heads up, no one on this board is going to buy anything that has UNC or North Carolina on it.

Does 49erfanatic.com need a physical store? Maybe you could work something out with Mr. Douglass!

Thanks for the tip ninerID... Although, you happened to be there on the day that the Titleist Rep stopped by and dropped off a couple samples.  I have a buddy turning 40 next month who graduated from App and I went by the very next day to get him one, but the guys in the "pro-shop" there at Leatherman's said it would be about two weeks before they get their regular shipment in.

pretty cool collectors item

I have one of those! My roommate got it for me. He found two at a local salvation army or goodwill place. Unfortunately, he dropped one of them so I have just the one.

I know that old UNCC logo is pretty ugly (not Norm but the UNCC part) but it brings back memories...in 1992 I picked up my UNCC ID and it had that old UNCC logo on it.  I'm pretty sure the IDs changed soon thereafter but the whole time I had that ugly logo on my ID.

Ahhh...memories.

My grandmother gave me one of hers. I'm afraid to drink out of it.

I'm going to put all but 1 away in a safe place as collectors items, and just drink from the that one.  Maybe I'll bring it on the trip to Rocky Top.
