At one point there was some talk of the Niners recruiting West Charlotte PG Mark Blackmon. Looks like he made the all conference 2nd team. Not sure if there is still any interest though.

I didn't realize it until he got up to leave, but Lester and a friend sat right in front of us during the homecoming game Saturday. Felt a little embarrassed since at one point during the game I was busting on Major a little but also was talking about his recruiting and how I was excited about "this guy named Lester coming in next year that is a true scorer". We were talking right in his ear so I'm sure he was amused.

I did notice he turned around and kinda laughed at us once, but I didn't put 2 and 2 together soon enough to introduce myself and tell him personally I was excited to have him.

After the game he went down and stood over the player's tunnel for a good 5 minutes and you could tell he was just taking it all in.

Last I saw Blackmon was projected as D2 or Low Major.

In the Myrtle Beach NC SC all star clash played March 17, Lester played 22 minutes , was 4 for 6 shooting, and 4 for 5 from the 3 pt. range . Appears to be a good performance .

Nice. I'm sure it was pretty much a glorified scrimmage with little D, but 4 of 5 from three point range is impressive. Can't wait to see Lester in the Green and White!

As Niners, the rankings of our players only counts before we sign them. And in some cases it only counts before they narrow their search to all or mostly non-BCS schools.

It's hard to take a website's rankings seriously when they do this EVERY time we sign somebody in their Top 150. Me thinks that Rodney White or Curtis Withers would be dropped out of the Top 150 should we be signing them now. All they are doing is discrediting any integrity they might have had in order to butter their bread from their BCS patrons.

Bring it Shawn. Time to rain some 3's and rain on the Rivals BCS parade.

Just looking at program history, I don't recall someone who sat out not being eligible.

I see him around campus every so often and have seen him at several MBB games over the course of the year. Also, heard he played in intramural basketball and dominated.
