As much as I love my alma mater I'm having trouble believing the credibility of this list.  Cornell?  Duke?  Last I heard Duke doesn't even allow tailgaiting any more.  I mean ECU isn't even on the list and I can smell their drunken sluts from here in Charlotte

I hate to admit this, but I don't mind being on this list. It might do a little to weaken that "commuter school" image that so many outsiders have of our school. Partying = traditional college atmosphere in many ways.

I agree with you on that.  It is good to see us put in some light as the traditional university that we have already become and yet no one seems to know.

The city of Charlotte was just ranked the Manliest city in the US in the Sports category.  No doubt they have seen our manly mascot.  Overall we are #2.

It looks like the main criteria for making the list was simply the ratio of drinking & drug offenses into the overall student body population.  If you look at the school's profile you'll see they have us at only about 16,500 students; a little inaccurate obviously.  I guess that is why a school like ASU (Arizona State) wasn't on there since they have a total of about 60 or 70,000 students.  Nonetheless I'm still glad to be on the list.

They shut them down last year because a student was found unconscious in a porta-jon.

Which really is kind of a poor stat to base this on. It could easily be a result of a more anal police force which I think is true in our case. Also could be a result of a more proactive police force which saying ours is feels incorrect. Seems like a better party school is one where they let you get away with "drinking violations" or simply don't treat the students like children.

Agree, but I won't contradict their report. Whether you like greek or not, it's a good thing to have it somewhat strong at your school. If the reputation is B, I'll take it.
